The Artist Colony
“The Artist Colony” is a multimodal, transmedia, digital story about a writer’s introduction to a group of artists known as the Artist Colony. With a concentration on aesthetics, I wanted to explore different forms of beauty and art and the power they have to shape the world around us. Taking inspiration from the New York Times story “Snowfall: The Avalanche at Tunnel Creek”, I used a combination of images, written text, text messages, social media, and “fan fiction” to create an immersive story that brings readers into this world saturated in art.
